After the largest Thanksgiving dinner in Dongshin history, 220 people felt full from 10 turkeys, satisfied with the decorated dining room and joyful with making new friends along with thankfulness from winning prizes and life in general.

For an additional opinion on the dinner, you can check out our blog. Go to the English Service tab on the home page and find the blog page.

Also, here are were some reasons to be thankful for living in Daegu (imagine David Letterman’s top 10)

1. In Daegu, we have 200 bus routes coming every 5 minutes, 5000 taxis coming every 3 minutes, 10,000metres of Subway lines going in 4 directions, and an international airport flying to America
(via Incheon).
2. We have a tower and you can see the view at the top unlike Seoul
3. Costco is still open in Daegu unlike Walmart a few years ago, (we’re not hard done by, yeah right!)
4. We had the World Athletic championships at our stadium and felt like exercising just for one week
5. Kimchi is served with everything and can be used for medicinal purposes as it makes you drink a lot more water which is healthy. (You’ll hate it at first then miss it when you go home).
6. You can meet many different people including your wife-to-be and then be fed so much more food than you ever knew God could bless you with.
7. You can exercise by walking more when the taxi driver didn’t understand a single Korean word you said and dropped you off at the wrong place.
8. Becoming the best dodgeball player ever by having to dodge scooters on the road or sidewalk or park or apartment entrances
9. In Daegu, you can play board games for 5,000, watch movies for 8,000, eat for 10,000 and sing with friends for 15,000 all in the same room
10. Seasons change like the flick of a switch except for summer when it is too hot to move to even flick it!
Thanks to all the organisers, helpers and volunteers
